Ministry Outreach to Guayaquil, Ecuador
Sacred Winds Ensemble is excited to announce their 2018 Kentucky Tour and upcoming Summer Residency Program in partnership with Project CASTA in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
The Sacred Winds Ensemble presents their summer concert with music by Nelson, Lippencott, Getty, JS Bach, and Ticheli. June 10 at First Baptist Church in Pikeville, KY beginning at 3:00 PM and June 11 at Grace Baptist Church in Somerset, KY beginning at 7:00 PM.
Following their concert tour, members of the ensemble will later fly to Guayaquil, Ecuador for a two-week Summer Residency Program at the Orquesta Sinfonica Cristiana del Ecuador Conservatory of Music at the end of July. There, the group will lead a two week music academy, working with students of all ages at O.S.C.E. They will also engage in educational activities, performances, and ministry across the city, immersing themselves in cultural exchange all along the way. The Summer Residency Program will culminate in a public performance where Sacred Winds Ensemble faculty will appear in concert together with the Orquesta Sinfonica Cristiana del Ecuador as featured guest artists.
