Audrey McMurray | Clarinet

Name:  Audrey McMurray

Hometown:  Knoxville, TN, but now Richmond, KY

Instrument/Position:  Clarinet

College(s) attended and private teachers:  Prior to college, I studied with Dr. Connie Rhoades at Eastern Kentucky University.  I now study with Dr. Lori Baruth at Morehead State University.

How long have you been associated with Sacred Winds?  Since 2009.

What is one thing you enjoy about being a part of Sacred Winds?  The message of scripture:  we get to share God’s word through beautiful music in a very unique way!

What is your most memorable experience with Sacred Winds?  My first concert (summer of ’09):  I felt so blessed to be a part of the ensemble, and so moved by the experience. It is the best sounding ensemble I’ve played in, and I love the people in it!  It is so cool to know we’re all playing together for the same purpose.

What would you tell someone who is attending their first Sacred Winds event?  It’s not your typical concert, and it’s no accident that you are there to experience it!

Hobbies and other interests:  Finishing school… I’m student teaching in the spring!

Testimonials
