How long have you been associated with Sacred Winds? I first played with SWE in the summer of 1998 and I have been a member (on and off) ever since.

What is one thing you enjoy about being a part of Sacred Winds? Aside from the friendship, it is one of the few times a year (if only time) I get to play just for the love of it and not to pay a bill.  It’s easy to forget that we all started as musicians because we enjoyed it, not because we we’re going to be rich.  It never feels quite as good to play as it does as a member of Sacred Winds.

What is your most memorable experience with Sacred Winds? It was at the end of Russian Christmas Music (I think in 1998) and as the last chord hung in the air and Scott’s baton came to rest there was a crack of lightening and the lights flickered.  I don’t think anyone moved or breathed for a good 10 seconds.  That’s proof right there that God was/is with us… always.

What would you tell someone who is attending their first Sacred Winds event? Sit back, close your eyes and let the music in.

Hobbies and other interests:

Testimonials

“I am impressed that the group is not satisfied with merely playing the standard repertoire.”
